Bright Future for FCS

Fowlerville Christian School hits the forty year plateau! After four decades of educational ministry, FCS now has graduates around the globe. Heading into the half century mark, the Fowlerville Christian School board members have commissioned Rev. Lloyd Williams, former pastor of the First Baptist Church of Fowlerville, to take oversight of FCS. Rev. Williams has finished class requirements for a Master's degree in Professional Counseling and expects to begin an internship in January of 2011. Rev. Williams and his wife, LeeAnn, recently moved to Williamston where they own and operate Haven of Rest, an adult foster care home for the elderly ( www.havenofrestafc.org ). Five of Lloyd and LeeAnn's children are graduates of FCS.
Rev. Williams brings a creative approach to Christian education along with a strong dedication for educational excellence and a heartbeat to make Christian education affordable for families. Pastor Williams has assembled a talented teaching team for the upcoming year. Carrin Dutcher, former FCS student with a Master's degree in Educational Administration, will be the lead teacher. Naomi (Williams) Senn, a 2005 FCS graduate, brings her Moody Bible Institute elementary education training to the K4 and K5 program. Mrs. Senn's creative and enthusiastic approach to the classroom and her emphasis on phonics will lay a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Naomi's husband, Diego Senn, who graduated Summa Cum Laude in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL. will serve as school Chaplin and academic advisor. Chad Huber, graduate of Liberty University with a bachelor's degree in Christian education and teacher at FCS from 1999 - 2009, is currently furthering his education. He will serve as a consultant and will be available for scheduled tutoring for advanced Math and Science. Pastor Williams, the board, and staff at FCS have made a commitment that the atmosphere at FCS will be one of encouragement, enjoyment, enrichment, and achievement.
Along with the commitment of a positive environment, tuition will lower significantly. The current tuition of $3,800 will now be $2,800. The K4 and K5 cost of $2,600 will be $1,650. All additional fees and multiple child discounts will remain unchanged. The parent committee is making scholarships available to families in need of some assistance. Alumni of FCS will receive a $300 discount for, new, enrollment of family members. Also, a $100 rebate will be given to any family that refers new families for the 2010 - 11 school year. For interested families, FCS is working a dual enrollment with Liberty University for 11th & 12th grade students.
